Easter egg hunt 2011

Our neighborhood had their annual Easter egg hunt. After leaving last year with 1 egg, we decided that wasn't going to work this year so, I bought a dozen empty plastic eggs before hand and practiced with him at home. He was outstanding! His new favorite word of the week became "EGG".

So...he is ready. The teacher can only show him so much. The boy must show he can do it in the real world - by himself.

On to Saturday, it was a cool morning. We had a good breakfast to start off on the right foot. We arrive 10 minutes early to get a good spot up front. He's in the 0-3 age group so there are bigger, faster kids but I keep reminding him in his ear like a boxing coach "Do what we learned at home...EGGS!"

The lady rings the bell to begin! He was caught off guard! He froze for maybe 5 seconds but it felt like an eternity. The other kids are way ahead of him. Judy's mother instinct kicks in and help him out on the first egg. YES!!!! After the 3rd egg, he was on a roll. The hard practice/ training session have paid off. We left with a basket full of candy and a few pictures to share. The teacher (Dad) was so proud :)

*No Easter bunny picture this year, he completely refused (scared) to be near him.

Raise him back at 8250 Park Place. There will be no reluctance if he sees free candy on the ground if you did.
