My little helper

Winter this year has been pretty mild and yesterday was 70 degrees and sunny. No ice this year which is a good thing. We had maybe 1-2 days of snow but nothing like last year.

Last year...Remember the all the snow during the Superbowl at Cowboys stadium? It was the same winter storm that kept us indoors during our Winter park ski trip last year (Negative 30 degrees in the ski slopes). Damn El Nino or whatever it is.

Spring is around the corner and so is the yard work. It was time to cut the grass and Jake wanted to help with his mower. I was getting ready and he must have said "Are we ready yet?" around 75 times. Why do kids ask so many times even though I answer him? I guess it's the same as the "Are we there yet?" question in the car. It's pretty annoying but cute :)

He mowed for a little bit but when I turned on my mower, he got scared. "Daddy, yours is too loud." He took a seat and watched me work.

Then it was time for a nap...it was time for the whole family to nap except Daddy.

 
 
 
 

Good thing they aren't keeping score

The first game is in the books. They don't keep score nor do they have a goalie. Just a bunch of kids running around. Only a few are really kicking the ball. There's a hand full playing with the grass all by themselves and one or two holding hands and just running around the field (Jake was one of them). Jake would run along with the group of kids but he wouldn't go into the mix and kick the ball. He would just run to it and watch others kick it. Oh well, he will get better, I hope.

The other team was good. We had a few goals but they kicked it in the wrong goal but we'll take it!

Jake signed up for soccer

His first game is this Saturday. His team name is Wolfpacks - we didn't get to vote on the name. It's an indoor league for kids 3-4.

Let's hope he doesn't freak out and ask and cry for Mom/Dad :)

Max 6 month checkup

Better late to blog than never I always say.

Max had his 6 month checkup last month and he's doing great. Although he gets sick all the time it seems from school, he's growing up on pace like his brother.

Jake's 3rd birthday

3 different cake for his 3rd birthday.

We celebrated his first one on Superbowl. We had friends over anyways so it was convenient. The second was in Houston when we went down there for Tet and his last cake was with Mom and Dad on his actual birthday (2/14). It really wasn't his cake but a Valentine mini bundt cake I got for Judy. He loves blowing out the candles.
