Max first Halloween

He didn't participate this year but there will be plenty of years for
him to enjoy it.

Halloween 2011

Nothing special - dressed up as a dog holding his favorite dog around the neighborhood - maybe 12 houses and went back home to hand out candy. 3 big Costco bags gone - we even manage to give away Jake's old fruit snack. Winning!

Go Rangers!

We are jumping on the Rangers bandwagon. It's not the Astros but a
Texas team. They can win it tonight.

Less time to hold Max

Max is in his third week in daycare. All is well and there are good girls that take care of him but I do miss holding him. I pick him up around 5:30, have dinner and it's already time for give them bathes. Next thing you know if bed time and Max is dead asleep.

Here's a picture of him sleeping before school.

The kid love band-aids

Nan's wedding

What a weekend! The Trans and the Moores from Houston and the Uchs
(Austin) came up to Dallas to visit and attend Nan's wedding. We hired
an extra babysitter to watch all the kiddos - total of 7. There was a
lot of people under one roof but it was fun having people over. Jake
really loved J and KK and even asked for the the night they left.
Congrats to Nan and Kat. It was a beautiful wedding and we had a great
time.

New stuff from chi Ha

Chi Ha always give us stuff for Jake and here is Jake modeling a new
Halloween shirt and a Elmo pillow / blanket.

Jake school pictures - Fall 2011

He's only 2 years and 8 months but he looks so big already. They do grow up fast :(

Jake's 1st Dentist Visit

Well, let's just say that Jake did better than I expected (positive), and he, eventually, let the dental hygienist do everything she needed to inside his mouth (positive), but he wanted absolutely nothing to do with that red chair (negative). Both of us tried unsuccessfully to sit in it while holding him but that didn't help. Hopefully the next check-up in 6 months will go a little more smoothly. We will be taking Max earlier than we did Jake. Lesson learned.

They have a cool horse ride for the kids in the waiting room. He got to ride it once before and after his cleaning. He loved it and wanted to ride it again but it's was time to go back to school.

Jake spends the day/night with the Chestnuts

Last Saturday, we went down to Houston to attend Lan's wedding. We decided to go san kids because it's just more fun that way. So we had Grandma watch Max and Jake spend the day/night with Claire, Emma, chi Ha and uncle Chris. It worked out really well because Grandma really really wanted to watch Max and Claire had a birthday party at night and they had a church bazaar during the day. This was technically he first sleepover without Mom or Dad. So obviously we were concerned that he would give the Chestnuts a nightmare situation. But between the church festival and the birthday parties, he had no time to miss his parents. It also helped that Emma and Claire loves playing with Jake. We worried for nothing and chi Ha said he did great. Uncle Chris was nice enough to take some pictures of the day.

Max's Baptism

We went down to Houston last weekend for a wedding, birthdays (more pictures soon) and the most important, Max's baptism. He slept through most of it and didn't cry at all. Judy's sister chi Tuyet and John and his god-parents.
