Culture Day - part 4

Last post about culture day - I promise. His school called last week (I hate answering these calls because it 99% bad news- he's sick, he's bit someone, or he's hurt somehow) and asked for permission to post Jake's picture in the local paper. I said yes of course.

And so it begins...

I get a receipt out of the blue from Apple/itunes. So Jake has bought his first app without permission. Talking T-Rex. Judy and I are trying to figure out how he got my password.

It's expensive having a baby

We are very blessed to have very good insurance. Hospitals and Doctors charge a lot and if you don't have any insurance, it will set you back a few pennies. One day, we will show the kids the bill and hopefully, we can compare the bill to when they have kids. I'm sure it will be much more expensive in 25 years.

Culture Day - Part 3

Jake is sitting down holding a flag that closely resembles the People's Republic of China's flag. Chinese? Vietnamese? What's the difference! HaHa!

Update: chi Ha has informed me that it's actually a communist Vietnamese flag. So it's technically it is correct but not the right one.

Jake and Max pictures - Fall 2011

We took some family pictures over the weekend (courtesy of a LivingSocial deal) at Picture People. It took a little bit for Jake to warm up to the photographer but when he hears "Smile" - he knows exactly what to do :)

Culture day - part 2

His school sent us a picture of Jake and one of his classmates. CUTE!

Culture Day

Jake dressing up for Culture Day at school. I had to give him some
candy for him to put it on. Hopefully he keeps it on for their
parade.

Thanks to chi Nga for the outfits!

Addison Oktoberfest

I took Jake to enjoy the Addison Oktoberfest on Sunday while Max and Mom stayed at home. I really took him so he can enjoy the rides but I was able to enjoy 1 beer.

It was a nice to visit our old neighborhood. Addison reminds me of when we were young and without kids. We often would wake up at 11am on a Saturday and eat dinners around 8-9pm. These days...7:30am when Jake wakes up everyday including the weekends :( and dinners occur around 5:30pm. Oh the good old days.

Too cute!

Loves sleeping on the Boppy

Max and Jake's cat

We think Jake has finally accepted that Max is here to stay and he has
to deal with it. Jake isn't jealous anymore. If I'm holding Max and
wants me to play with me, he would say 'Mommy hold Max'. He doesn't
cry and whine anymore - thank God. He even shares his cat with Max.

Hawaiian Falls

He loves swimming and does a pretty good job holding his breath now or
also known as 'bubbles'.

'iPad man'

I got Jake a new iPad case/holder so he can play with it without me
worrying about it breaking. He wants to play with it every night and
calls it the 'iPad man'.

Feeding the Ducks

It was such a nice day today, I decided to take Max and Jake out for our first walk together, while daddy takes care of the much-neglected lawn. Jake loves feeding the ducks at the community lake.
