Heard museum in McKinney

Judy bought a family membership on Groupon for the Heard Museum in McKinney. We decided to use it up before it expires. It was another hot day but we didn't stay long outside. It was a rather small place with very little exhibits but Jake had a good time I think.

2 weeks until Baby #2

A very good movie back in the day (1990). Yes, life on Mars is possible.

We are no where closer to picking a name.

Baby Names

We're having a hard time deciding on baby names. You want something that's timeless, that won't be used as a weapon against them later in life. It's also difficult because we have such a large family, and they've taken all the good ones already. I initially told Hai that he could pick baby #2's name, but Hai likes "Max" and "Brooke", neither of which resonate well with me. He mentioned "Alyssa", which is ok, I guess... Girl names are the hardest.

My candidates are:
Boy: Brandon, Matthew, Jason
Girl: Madelyn (Maddy), ??

This may end up being a game time decision.

Side note...

This second child will feel so neglected when he/she reads this blog... it's all about Jake! Oh well, I'm sure it'll change...

Three more weeks...

So we're exactly 3wks away (C-section is scheduled for June 27th) from finding out if Jake's getting a little brother or sister. I'm hoping it'll be sooner, since Jake came at 38wks, but that's up to the little guy/girl. Jake's so cute... yesterday when we asked him which one he wanted, he said sisser. :-) We'll see...

Anyways, I'm pretty much on cruise control now at work. I'm not being asked to take on any new outbreak investigations... actually, I'm not being asked to do much of anything. I'm just finishing up some projects and passing off others. It's nice, but man, with each passing day, it's getting harder and harder to look busy.

It's getting exciting, to say the least. We're ready... I think...
