Jake: 4 months
Weight: 13lbs, 6oz (25%)
Length: 24.5" (50%)
Head: 15.75" (10%)
We took Jake to his 4mo check-up yesterday... as you can see, he wasn't too happy getting his second set of vaccinations, but he was fine the moment it was over though.
Can you believe it's already been 4 months?!? It has sure gone by fast! It seems like he's doing something new everyday like sitting in the high chair and playing in his exersaucer. I think he even said 'mom' the other day... I know it was purely accidental, but it still warms the heart! We've been given the green light from his doctor to give him cereal, so stay tuned for those (sure to be messy) pics!

Maybe it seems like it's gone by fast because there's been alot of activity in general. Apart from the baby himself, we're still adjusting to our new work schedules, researching the minivan purchase, selling the townhouse (closing in August), designing/building a new house, and finding a decent place to stay for the 6 months in between.
It really hasn't been as hard as I thought it'd be... adjusting to life with a baby. I mean, sure, you get less sleep, and it seems like every single task revolves around his eating and sleeping schedule, and it takes longer to get ready and out the door, and you can't go to the movies or out to eat whenever you want to, but it's just something you get used to. It's not at all as inconvenient as it would seem, and it's all so worth it when he smiles his gummy little smile at you!! Overall, we've been blessed with such a healthy and happy baby, it makes me want a second one... in about 2 years, of course!

Look who's talking, Bumbo, Harter's Wedding, Offer on the Townhome and Hair loss
It's been a busy week. Jake is 'talking' a lot more. I think he finally figured out that he can make noises. We got him a bumbo to help him with his posture. Kristi babysat Jake while we went to Dave and Whitney's wedding in Frisco (beautiful couple). We finally got an offer on the town home (after 8 showings and 63 days on the market). And finally Jake has been losing quite a bit of hair lately - hopefully it will grow back :( His 4 month checkup is next week.

Jake: 3.5 months old
It's been a fast 3 months and 2 weeks. Judy is back at work. She is working Thursday through Tuesday (6 days straight) 3:00 am until noon. Then she has 8 days off. Kinda crazy of a schedule since I have to work from home until noon on those days and head to work after that. She's pretty tired on her work days since she comes home to a hungry baby. One good thing is that we don't have any day care bill. He's almost sleeping through the night. We put him down after his daily bath around 9pm and he has been waking up around 5am. That's not too bad but a few extra hours would be awesome. Maybe when he starts eating some solid food around 6 months of age. So far so good as they say....here are some pictures from the week.

Videos at 11 1/2 weeks...
Here's more videos of Jake almost 3 months old. He enjoys kicking his legs and flailing his arms around, eating, sleeping, 'talking', listening, smiling and long walks in the park. He's not looking for a long term relationship, just friends and a babysitter. Email your picture if you are interested :)
Here's a video of him enjoying his mobile in the morning.
Here's one of him giving me a hi-five (not really).
Another one with his singing toy.
